All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Although running a translation business takes most of my time and brings me a genuine joy, I also have some less down-to-earth passions. More and less original- books, movies, friends- just as everyone. I really enjoy Stephen King’s books and biographical novels. I love history, especially the “gloomy” gothic times, burning witches at stakes in the Middle Ages and ancient mysteries of the pharaohs…
Above all, however, I have two dogs and three cats (anticipating the thinkable questions, all five live in a perfect harmony) and my handicraft. Long time ago I tried to cross stitch (I lacked patience, however). Later on I tried to learn to draw (Unfortunately, with no results- up to now I still can’t draw even a single straight line without a ruler). That still wasn’t “it”.
Few years ago I have discovered decoupage. Timidly, I started with simple pictures and chandelier decorations. With time I took to gift my family and friends with pictures, salvers, plates, small bread boards and door signs…. In my apartment I welcome guests with coffee served on a beautiful fragrant coffee-table and in my bureau room, there are still two half-painted bookshelves form the seventies which are decorated on one side only. The second side waits for another crisis at work.
This is my way to relax, to relieve stress. I paint, splodge, mix colors, make cut-outs, paste, profane and decorate, cover with paint and start all over again, I create compositions when I have no inspiration to work, when I feel tired, sad or angry when I cannot come into agreement with a client ;-).
I would like to share my passions with you, I present to you- my animals. Later I encourage you to visit the Gallery.

Kitka - adopted in 2005 through an announcement on the Internet, a typical “only child” kitten, moody yet loyal and very wise female cat. She adores all kinds of boxes and cartons.
Felicity (or just Felicia)- adopted as a companion for Kitka, half a year later, a cowed chatterbox, she probably suffers from epilepsy, she’s afraid of storm.
Koma - a female golden retriever, born on 1 of February 2009, a big, super-friendly and stubborn dog. She loves everyone except for drunkards.
Niusia - a small dog found during 2009 vacations, she was sick and she disturbed someone’s vacation plans… loyal and wise pal.
Lolo (or Lolek) – a Norwegian Forest Cat, found as a 3-months old kitten with a broken pelvis and a cold in November 2009. A super-intelligent and smart little brat. Suffers from paralysis of back legs, fell in love with Felicia from the first sight.
