I accept orders for translations both in electronic (sent as email attachments) and paper form. In case of the latter form, a prior contact is requested.
If the volume of the translation is large, the translation shall be commenced on receiving of an advance payment. As far as the methods of payment are concerned, I accept transfers to my bank account and cash.
I guarantee confidentiality and discretion concerning the information entrusted.
Before the commencement of translation, the ordering party shall receive a separate offer. The acceptance of that offer constitutes the ordering party’s consent to place the order. After the translation is finished, an invoice is issued. The payment should be within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
Placing an order by the ordering party is tantamount to the acceptance of the following General Terms of Processing Orders.
These terms are drawn up based on the Terms of Carrying out Translations and Rules for Translator Remunerations (Warunki wykonywania tłumaczeń pisemnych i zasady wynagradzania tłumaczy), as accepted by the resolution of the General Board of the Association of Polish Translators (Zarząd Główny Stowarzyszenia Tłumaczy Polskich) of April 26th, 2006.
CANCELLING OF ORDERS An ordering party wishing to cancel an order is obliged to pay the translator for the work completed so far and to pay damages in the amount of 10 per cent of the value of the remaining part of the translation.
RIGHT TO COMPLAIN The ordering party has a right to complain about a translation done by ETLUMACZENIA within 8 days of receiving the translation. The complaint must be in writing and contain valid grounds for the complaint. If the complaint is well-grounded, ETLUMACZENIA shall correct such translation free of charge. The company doesn’t accept complaints concerning translation done in express mode, but there is a possibility of including the price of correcting such translation in the price of the whole translation.
RESPONSIBILITY An ordering party requesting a translation to be done in express mode should be aware of the risk of mistakes in the translation. The translator is obliged to correct those mistakes immediately after the ordering party reports their existence. The translator is not to be held responsible for delays and errors caused by factors over which he or she has no influence, such as events of force majeure, failures of computer equipment, internet or telephone connection breakdowns and power failures. The translator is not responsible for substantial errors in the translation that are a consequence of errors in the source text.
ORDERS ETLUMACZENIA carries out translations based on an order form available on the company’s website. Such forms can also be obtained via email. Completed and signed orders should be sent by email. The translations are carried out only based on a written order sent by email.
DELIVERY OF THE FINISHED TRANSLATIONS Finished translations are delivered on a previously agreed day via electronic mail. Other forms of delivery [by post, courier mail (the fees are paid by the customer)or personal delivery] depend on prior agreements.
LEGAL REGULATIONS To all matters not settled herein appropriate provisions of the Polish Civil Code shall respectively apply.
